Commissions, delivery and workshop policies
These Terms govern custom furniture commissions and services provided by Puulinja Helsinki ("we") to clients ("you") at our workshop on Punavuorenkatu, Helsinki.
Commissions are confirmed upon receipt of a signed quote and deposit payment. Design consultations (€120/h, minimum two hours) are booked by email or phone and credited toward the commission when you proceed. Workshop visits are by appointment.
Starting prices are listed on our pricing page. Final prices are fixed in the signed quote. Payment schedule: 40% deposit on confirmation, 40% when production begins, 20% on delivery and installation. Invoices are in euros with 14-day payment terms unless otherwise agreed.
Dimensioned drawings and timber specifications are provided after consultation. Revisions are included until you sign off on the final design. Changes requested after production begins may incur additional charges and extend the lead time.
Lead times stated in the quote are estimates based on current workshop capacity. We notify you promptly if delays occur due to timber availability or unforeseen complexity. Production begins after deposit receipt and signed drawings.
Delivery and installation within Helsinki city limits is included for commissions over €4,500. Access to the apartment must be available at the agreed time. We are not responsible for delays caused by building restrictions, lift unavailability, or client absence.
We warrant our workmanship for 24 months from delivery. Timber is a natural material — minor seasonal movement is normal in centrally heated apartments. The warranty covers structural defects and finish failure under normal use. It does not cover damage from misuse, improper cleaning, or modifications by third parties.
Deposits are non-refundable once timber has been ordered or production has started. Cancellations before production begins forfeit 50% of the deposit to cover design and administrative costs. We reserve the right to cancel a commission and refund payments if circumstances prevent completion.
We may photograph completed furniture for portfolio use unless you opt out in writing before delivery. Personal photography during installation is welcome.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant commission except where Finnish consumer law provides otherwise. We are not liable for indirect loss such as temporary accommodation costs beyond our control.
These Terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes may be brought before the competent courts in Helsinki or your local jurisdiction if you qualify as a consumer under EU law.
